World Music for Peace and Healing

A world premiere of this quartet exploring the confluences of the musics of Africa, India, the Middle East and the Americas. Sharing a reverence for the sacred sounds of traditional instruments, timeless melodies, and deep rhythmic flow these four local musicians conjure a mystic global groove and a reverence for beauty.

• Chinobay is a reknowned Ugandan musician rooted in the traditions of his birthplace who now resides in these mountains. Songs of kora, endongo, kalimba and his astonishing voice.
• Chris Rosser, an amazing string and keyboard player rooted in the Indian dotar, Turkish oud and guitar.
• Jahidi brings alive the rich rhythmic language of North Indian tablas as well as tongue drum, handpan and drum kit.
• Scott Sheerin is a meditative wind player with roots in world fusion and music for dance brings silver flutes, saxophones and wind synthesizer.
