Spirited Improv Series with Jessica Chilton

As we live into the Rebirth of CCLD, we invite all members to experience Spirited Improv as a powerful way to practice embodying our Vision, Mission, and Values together.

Spirited Improv is a playground for CCLD’s Vision of awakening the power of love and service—it is so extraordinary to witness what happens within each group that comes together to support one another in the spirit of Love. 

Our next Series will be infused with deeply healing and playfully creative ways to live into CCLD’s Values of Loving Presence, Curiosity, Respect for All Beings, and Mutual Accountability. And as Spirited Improv is all about letting go of control, surrendering in the moment, and trusting in the unknown, there are so many opportunities to embrace death as a teacher. 

This series is also a gateway to joining the Spirited Improv Service Team that visits CCLD residents bedside and brings improvisational song, music, and creative expressions from our heart that meet each beautiful soul where they are in the moment. 

The series will culminate in a Performance Fundraiser where 100% of ticket sales will go to CCLD to support our Mission as we practice ways of embracing death every day while supporting one another with loving presence. 

And yes, your non-Member friends are welcome too! It is a perfect way to deepen your relationship and for them to feel into the Heart of CCLD.

Wednesdays 5:30-7:30pm—Sept 3, Sept 10, Sept 17, Sept 24, Oct 1, Oct 8 *Please ensure you can be present for at least 3 out of 6 experiences—same registration fee no matter how many you attend.

Participation Requirement: 

This Series is equally for total beginners as well as those experienced improvisers who have already played in the land of Spirited Improv and are ready for a brand new group experience in the unknown. Again, it’s okay to miss up to 3 sessions if needed. *For Public Performance on Oct 8th, you may choose to be a loving presence in the audience or play together with us on stage.

What to Expect:

Expect the Unexpected! A Spirited Improv Series is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. It is an enlivening emergent experience of collective creativity, authentic expression, and community belonging. It’s an improvisational playspace for the human spirit with invitations to move beyond fear and self-limitation into experiments of music-making, dancing, singing, acting, costumed silliness, story-telling, and ritual that deeply nourish the heart and soul. It offers a warm, playful, and safe container where laughter, tears, and connection flow freely.

You are invited to release judgment and practice radical acceptance of yourself and each human in the room, creating an encouraging playspace for all. Whether you choose to simply offer your loving presence or step onto stage to play, you’re woven into the collective experience. What unfolds is spontaneous and sacred, hilarious and healing, shaped by the energy of Love in the room guiding it all.

You’ll leave each Playshop feeling uplifted, expanded, and woven into a community that celebrates each person’s unique expression and the Oneness that holds us all. Each time we gather, we’ll discover anew what becomes possible when we come together in service to Love.
