SHAMANIC DRUM WISDOM - with Zoe Allison-Rockingbear

This series of transformative classes is for anyone wanting to connect more deeply with shamanic drumming, whether you already have a drum or want to call in a drum to work with. These classes will deepen your relationship with drumming and the wisdom accessed by dreaming with the drum. The intention for this series is to deepen awareness and relationship with shamanic drumming, and to connect more deeply with oneself and others through these states of being. The wisdom cultivated through this course series will weave its way into your life beyond your time drumming. This series includes:

• Two Introductory classes: 101 and 102

• Four Shamanic deep classes or “Spirals”
  

Phase One: The Two Introductory Classes

101 - Thursday, June 12 - 1-3 pm

This introductory session will be an orientation to the series overall, and will begin with foundational learning about travelling with the drum. This will lay the groundwork for deeper drum journeying in session 102 and the Spirals. In this introductory session you will learn different rhythms with different drums, and find a shamanic rhythm that you can travel with. You will also find the directions of the drum and how they are used. 

102 – Thursday, June 19, 1-3 pm 

In this second session you will explore more deeply how the different directions are used, as well as who resides in these directions, and how they can be used as clearing and gathering allies. 

Phase Two: The Four Spirals

Participants will be emailed about specific location at CCLD prior 

SPIRAL 1 - June 26, 1-3 pm

Reciprocity and honoring humanity - through drumming for one another in pairs, and practicing dream recall

• Accessing altered states of consciousness

• Cultivating life affirming connections with self and the spirit world

• Releasing traps of unworthiness

• Preparing to die

SPIRAL 2. July 3, 1-3 pm

• What must be done to move from one reality to another

SPIRAL 3. July 10,  1-3 pm

• Initiations, traveling, and traveling to the five elements

• Giving gifts and making a request by drumming and giving five gifts along the way

• Finding sentinels

• Drum and return with a message for the Drum Keepers

SPIRAL 4. July 17, 1-3 pm

By drumming or going to a fire

• Calling in a “song” or “Battle Cry” 

• Learning traditional songs with Zoe
