She is a fire-keeper at the Center for Conscious Living & Dying, a jewelry-maker, a dedicated surfer and skier, and a world-class trickster.Visionary artist, Zoe Allison-Rockingbear, is known for creating images that blend earthly and celestial symbols with designs of ancient cultures.
During her career, Zoe has served as an instructor and professor at Washington State University, University of Idaho, Columbus State University, and Auburn University.
Zoe is the author of the Mayan Record Keeper: An Almanac of the Days, and is recognized as a medicine woman in the Oklevueha Native American Church and a water-pourer in the Native American sweat lodge tradition.
In 1986, she founded the Earth Green Medicine Lodge here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, where she and her deceased husband, Will Rockingbear, have led vision quests since 1990.
Zoe currently teaches drum creation workshops throughout the United States, and leads retreats in the Yucatan, Quintana Roo, and Peru.
