Grief Ceremony and Beloved Potluck

The grief tending team would like to extend an invitation to gather in ceremony around grief and anything that is arising, emerging, wanting to be seen, and what is not ready to be witnessed.

The ceremony will begin at 4pm in the lighthouse.

Please plan to arrive at the lighthouse by 3:45 to enter the space and get settled. We will hold silence as we enter in, only the sound of the heartbeat drum will be present. There will be gatekeepers present at the threshold of the space (lighthouse front door) to welcome you in and with an offering. 

We will emerge from our ceremony time in the lighthouse at 6 to make our way over to the sanctuary for our potluck and conversation time. There will be a community altar if you would like to place a picture, object or anything of a beloved of yours or of yourself. Potluck dishes can be anything you’d like or a recipe of a beloved. Please drop off your potluck dish in the sanctuary before heading over to the lighthouse by 3:45. Please bring a serving utensil and info card for your dish on the ingredients and a story of the recipe if you’d like and have one. Please bring your own bowl/plate/utensil for eating and something to drink. 

We will then sit together to share food, stories, grief, conversation, etc. and wrap up our time at 8pm. Contributing to clean up is much appreciated.
