About the Event
A sound, breath, and movement practice facilitated by Joshua Leeds with Dr. Aditi Sethi. Benefit workshop for the Center for Conscious Living & Dying
We are living in a time of profound change—socially, environmentally, and personally. The rapid pace of life creates chronic uncertainty and stress that place extraordinary strain on the nervous system. Many of us are living in “sympathetic overdrive”—hyper-alert yet exhausted, overwhelmed by the stresses of daily life. The need for nervous system care is greater now than ever before in our lives. This experiential workshop will teach you practices to calm the nervous system and maintain and improve your health for the future.
Join internationally recognized music producer and sound researcher, Joshua Leeds and Dr. Aditi Sethi, musician, physician and Executive Director of the Center for Conscious Living & Dying, for a four week experiential training on combining sound, breath, and movement for nervous system regulation.
Offered across four, 3-hour evenings, you will be an active participant in understanding the science behind the practice, learning resources to restore balance to the autonomic nervous system, and practice sessions to embody the work. Drawing on polyvagal theory, neuroscience, and decades of applied research, Joshua introduces the Sound Breath Toolkit (SBTK)—a practical system of exercises designed to stimulate the Vagus nerve, regulate stress responses, and increase health and resilience.
What You’ll Experience
Sound Breath Toolkit: Includes demonstration videos + a copy of Sound & Breath for Autonomic Balance, your course manual to take home
Practices to rebalance the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and parasympathetic (rest-and-restore) systems
Simple, adaptable techniques to integrate into daily life—while relaxing, walking, exercising, falling asleep, or simply breathing more fully
Extended Nasal Exhalation (ENE) practices with sound and humming—powerful tools for nervous system regulation
Why It Matters
In this era of rapid and turbulent change, our bodies need help adapting. This workshop will improve health and your ability to manage environmental turbulence & internal distress. The Sound Breath Toolkit offers a way to support the nervous system with tools we carry within us—our breath, our voice, our capacity for rhythm. These easy and fun practices enhance vitality, reduce chronic stress, and cultivate resilience for the challenges of modern life.
