Dr. Chynna Shipp

Chynna grew up in North Carolina and moved to the Appalachia 15 years ago. She has lived in Europe as well as the Western US and enjoys immersing herself in dynamic cultural pools. She connects with the natural world in many ways, including backpacking, climbing, and learning about native plants.

Chynna found her way into Chinese medicine through the loss of her mom. Through her experience of sitting with death and dying, moving through the difficult transitions that coincide with loss, she discovered a deep passion for helping others heal. She is passionate about human connection, helping patients wherever they are in their process, and offers effective, compassionate, holistic care. She is interested in Grief Work, Immunodeficiency Syndromes, Endocrinology, GI distress, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and the overall health and wellness of each individual’s unique patterns and needs. Chynna offers a wide variety of healing modalities, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, bodywork, essential oils, and dietary therapy.

Chynna Shipp is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) and is licensed in the state of North Carolina. She is nationally certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.). She received her degrees from the Daoist Traditions College of Asheville. The program strongly focuses on the Classics of Chinese medicine and includes a rigorous Western medicine education, offering a comprehensive integration that suits our modern society well.
