About the Event
Mind-Body Medicine Wellness Groups offer a unique opportunity for participants to learn and practice mind-body medicine techniques in a safe and supportive group setting. Evidence-based techniques will be introduced and practiced with guidance. May include meditation, breathing, biofeedback, guided imagery, movement, writing, drawing and other self- awareness practices. Small group sharing also strengthens what is learned and provides support in a gentle and encouraging setting.

Taught by: Laurie Kalter is a CCLD member and faculty with the Center for Mind Body Medicine (cmbm.org) She has taught nationally and internationally and has led Mind-Body Skills Groups both in-person and online.
Laurie has more than 40 years of experience in the healthcare field and worked for the University of California, San Francisco for 23 years in clinical and medical education settings. She has worked with people from all backgrounds and cultures including veterans, parents of chronically-ill children and women trained in Ukraine. Laurie has a BA in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo and an MPA from the University of New Mexico. She is also a trained Whole Health Coach through VA. Laurie is adept at working with a diverse group of adults and is passionate about leading Mind-Body Skills Groups. She also has many years of experience as a practitioner of holistic healing modalities (breathwork, Reiki, intuitive and energy healing) and uses her intuition and compassion for effective outcomes.
