About the Event
Ustad Shafaat’s career is nothing short of extraordinary. He debuted at the Kings Lynn Festival opened by the Queen of England. The son of Ustad Imrat Khan and nephew of Ustad Vilayat Khan, he has graced the stages of prestigious concert halls, festivals, and universities across India, the U.S., Europe, China, Russia, and Japan. He has performed alongside legends like Stevie Wonder at Bonnaroo and shared a televised concert with Ray Charles in Germany. Some of his recordings have also been produced by the esteemed Dr. Deepak Chopra.
East Meets West offers a truly unique and electrifying experience—bridging cultures and engaging audiences through a dynamic blend of sitar, tabla, vocals, guitar, saxophone, keyboards, violin, Western percussion, and more. It’s a performance that is not only musically exhilarating but also deeply immersive and educational.
