A Retrospective: My 20 Years with Ram Dass

One of the greatest blessings of my long life was the time I spent with Ram Dass. Over the course of more than 20 years, I was with him on over 125 occasions, in workshops and retreats, at both my home and his, during shared meals, while traveling, on Zoom calls, and even in a secret class.

While I can still recall, I would like to share some of those experiences with the CCLD community. I want to tell you about the Ram Dass I knew- who he was and who he was not, how he told great stories and loved to laugh. How he became “the great explainer,” and “Be Here Now" became the Bible of the New Age.

I’ll share a few stories, definitely some of his one-liners, and try to answer any questions. Whether you knew him well or have only a passing knowledge of Ram Dass, you'll come away knowing one of our great teachers just a little better — and you’ll have some fun.
